Obituary for Sharon Kay Jackson

Sharon Kay Jackson, 75

HARTFORD CITY – Sharon Kay Jackson, 75, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2019 at University Nursing Center in Upland, IN.
She was born in Hartford City on May 16, 1944 to James Kemp Sr. and Pauline (Freeman) Kemp. Both of her parents preceded her in death.
Sharon married Richard “Dick” K. Jackson on April 15, 1964 in Gas City, IN.
She formerly worked at University Nursing Center in the Laundry Department and has also been a Home Health Aid.
Sharon loved to fish and camp. She was a member of Full Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle Church.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Richard “Dick” K. Jackson of Hartford City; daughter, Kimberly (husband, Pat) Meyer of Antwerp, OH; son Richard Jackson Jr. of Hartford City; grandchildren, Gregg Lamont, David Perez, Seth Watkins, Austin Jackson, Wyatt Jackson and Ryan Shultz; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry Kemp of Hartford City, Mary Ann Jones of Hartford City and Ronald (wife, Shelly) Kemp of Hartford City; several nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Watkins and siblings, Richard Kemp, James Kemp, Gerald Kemp, Donna Wagner and Robert Kemp.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City with Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating. Burial will be follow at Hartford City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Keplinger Funeral Home.
