James “Jim” Albert Rinker, 83

HARTFORD CITY – James “Jim” Albert Rinker, 83, passed away at 2:28 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born in Hartford City on May 29, 1935 to Orville Rinker and Vardella D. (Willmann) Rinker. His parents precede him in death.
He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1953.
Jim married Betty June (Love) on March 27, 1955 at Zion Lutheran Church.
He retired from 3M Company after 35 years of service, where he was a Supervisor in Splitting Department. He was also a Blackford County Gentleman Farmer.
Jim was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was also a member of 3M Retiree Club and Indiana Farm Bureau. He was an avid John Deere Collector.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Betty June Rinker of Hartford City; children, Steven Lee (wife, Sally) Rinker of Hartford City, Randall James (wife, Cheri) Rinker of Hartford City, and Pamela Sue (husband, Kent) Roush of Marion; grandchildren, Kyle (wife, Krista) Rinker, James (wife, Jessica) Rinker, Laurissa Rinker, Lyndsey Jarvis, Ashley (husband, Jeremy) Walls, Shelby (husband, Dennis) Maddox, Kari (husband, Josh) Richardson and Travis (wife, Erin) Roush; great-grandchildren, Blake Rinker, Ashton Wamsley, Cohen Walls, Kendyl Walls, Carter Richardson, Alex Richardson, Sam Roush, Emma Roush, Ben Roush, Adelynn Rinker, Hunter Jarvis and Gunner Maddox; siblings, Gwen (wife, Betty) Rinker of Kendallville, Elonda Pethtel of Hartford City and Reda Belle (husband, Merrill) Nottingham of Byrdstown, TN; several nieces and nephews.
He is also preceded in death by his brother, Clifford Rinker.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, 308 S. Monroe St., Hartford City withy Pastor David Fleener officiating. Burial will follow Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the church.
