She was born on April 3, 1924 in Liberty Center to the late Abraham Grogg and the late Marie (France) Grogg. Nettie married Lavon David Roads “Dave” on June 14, 1942 in Gas City. She was a homemaker, wife and mother and enjoyed working on the family farm with her husband Dave. She worked hard and never complained. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Lavon David Roads “Dave” of Dunkirk; son, Lavon David Roads Jr. of Portland; daughters, Nancy Marie (husband, Rick) Shaw of Kokomo; Jean Purvis of Summitville; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law, Eddie Purvis, brothers, Bud Grogg, John Grogg, Jim Grogg, Roger Grogg and twin brother, Bob Grogg and her sister, Mary Jane Grogg. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 at Keplinger Funeral Home with Rev. David Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.
