Name: Lori Hawk Date: Aug 12, 1965  -  Jan 26, 2010 Obituary: HARTFORD CITY – Lori Louise Hawk, 44, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home. She was born on August 12, 1965 in Hartford City the daughter of Richard L. Hawk and Carol Ann (Dutro) Hawk. Lori had suffered from Multiple Sclerosis since she was 16 years old. She had lived at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home since 1997 where she was a blessing to may people at the Nursing Home she always had a smile for everyone and her favorite sayings were “Whatever” and “Why Not”. The family gives many thanks to the nurses, the aides, staff and administration at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home for the many years of loving care they had all given Lori. She liked to watch Jeopardy on TV and play along. She was an Elvis fan and loved listening to his music. She was also a very talented artist in her younger days. Lori will be sadly missed by her mother, Carol Ann Hawk of Hartford City; father, Richard L. Hawk of Hartford City; sister Kimberly Ann (husband, Michael) Hines of Eaton; grandmother, Grace Hawk of Hartford City; aunts, Claretta S. Dutro of Hartford City; Betty L. Goodspeed of Syracuse; cousins and caregivers, Terry and Barb Shields; cousins, Tammie L. and Guy Hursey of Kimmel, Indiana, Jason P. Dutro of Hartford City and Scott M. Dutro of Roseville, California; several nieces and nephews. Memorial Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City. There will be a Memorial Service for Lori at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Keplinger Funeral Home with Pastor Ted Cain officiating.
